Kindergarten teachers face their own set of challenges. Each year they must learn the characteristics, skills, and needs of a new group of students. They need to take the knowledge learned about the children and apply it to a classroom full of young children and successfully acclimate the children to a whole new world of experiences. They need to try and help children and their families feel comfortable with the new learning environment while meeting the expectations of the administration and of the first-grade teachers about what will be included in the curriculum. And they tend to do this with big smiles on their faces!
