Alaska State Statute: Sec. 25.20.025. Examination and treatment of minors
This Alaska state law provides that a minor living apart from his/her parents or legal guardian and managing his/her own financial affairs may consent for his/her own medical and dental services.

Indiana Code 20-27-12: Transportation of Homeless Students
This Indiana state law specifies how Indiana will transport its homeless students in accordance with the transportation requirements of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

Maine Education Bill 257
This Maine state law, formally entitled An Act To Implement the Recommendations of the Task Force To Engage Maine's Youth Regarding Successful School Completion, gives homeless students, students in foster care, and other students experiencing educational disruption, the opportunity to earn a diploma from the State Education Commissioner. Students are still required to demostrate proficiency according to state standards, but are given the opportunity to earn a diploma outside of a school district's standard procedures.
